VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
honors
MARY BETH GRAY
For Dedication, Commitment, Extraordinary Service & Outstanding Accomplishment
Region 108, in our second annual recognition, is delighted to announce Mary Beth Gray as Volunteer of the Year. Mary Beth first stepped up as a volunteer way back in 2006 as a U8 coach for her 7-year old son Alex’s team (for a little perspective, Alex is now in college!) and currently coaches her twin daughters in the 12U division. In the last 12 years she has dedicated countless hours of time and effort to the roles of Coach, Division Coordinator, Regional Secretary, Referee and more – many years serving in multiple roles concurrently. In addition to holding regional referee credentials, Mary Beth is certified in the full range of coaching levels from 8U all the way to the impressive and rare status of Advanced Coach.
She is passionate, dedicated, and thorough in everything she does, but what better way to describe Mary Beth than to hear from friends and colleagues who have served with her - past and present:
"Thank you, Mary Beth, for your selfless commitment to our organization and kids.” – Zeljko Zivkovic, Regional Commissioner “Mary Beth is willing to jump in and help anywhere that AYSO needs it. Congrats, Mary Beth” – Greg Snow, former Regional Commissioner
“The perfect recipient. No one is more competent, conscientious and reliable...” – George Mastalir, former co-coach
“Mary Beth is dedicated to and passionate about AYSO. She is always there to lend a hand.” – Mike Gambucci, Regional DC “Mary Beth is reliable, levelheaded, dedicated to doing her best.” – Colleen Shannon, Former Regional Commissioner “Mary Beth Gray is a great Coach and role model, a wonderful human being, and a good friend” – Dave Adams, former co-coach |
